7. Advertising, cookies and trackers
Advertising. The Website displays advertising selected by BlueWaterSky for advertisers from the marine world, only if you accept it in the cookie banner. The App displays no advertising. On the Website, these ads are not personalised based on your activity: they are the same for all readers. They are served by our own ad server (Revive Adserver), which records impressions and clicks in aggregate form to produce the statistics provided to advertisers. No data about you is passed on to advertisers.
On the Website. We use cookies that are necessary for your account and shopping basket to work, which do not require your consent. Audience measurement cookies (Google Analytics, set via Google Tag Manager) and advertising cookies (our Revive server) are only set with your consent, collected through the banner displayed on your first visit. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of each page. When you start an embedded video, YouTube or Vimeo may set their own cookies.
In the App. The App only uses technical trackers necessary for its operation (keeping you signed in, language choice). It contains no advertising and no analytics or crash reporting tools. When you pay in the shop, it may ask for access to the camera to scan your bank card: this access is optional, and you can always enter your card details manually. Videos you start are played through YouTube or Vimeo, under their own privacy rules.
8. Security and minors
Security. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords stored in encrypted form, access limited to authorised staff, payments processed by a PCI-DSS certified provider. In the event of a data breach likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify the CNIL and, where necessary, the people concerned.
Minors. The Services are intended for adults. People under 15 may only create an account or sign up for the newsletter with the consent of their legal guardian, in accordance with Article 45 of the French Data Protection Act. If you find that a minor has sent us data without such consent, please write to us and we will delete it.
9. Your rights
You have the following rights over your data at any time:
Access: obtain a copy of your data
Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data
Erasure: request the deletion of your data
Restriction: temporarily freeze the use of your data
Portability: receive your data in a reusable format
Objection: object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and to direct marketing at any time
Withdrawal of consent, without affecting processing already carried out
Post-mortem instructions: decide what happens to your data after your death
Deleting your account. You can delete your account and the associated data directly from your “My account” area, on the Website or in the App, or by writing to us. The procedure is detailed on the Delete your account page.
Exercising your rights. Write to admin@multihulls-world.com or to BlueWaterSky, 17 rue de l’Hôtel des Postes, 06000 Nice, France. We will reply within one month, and may ask you for proof of identity in the event of reasonable doubt.
Complaints. If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés (CNIL), 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France, www.cnil.fr. If you live in another EU country, you can also contact your local data protection authority.
